This is Bryan, a long time friend and paddling instructor who runs Coldspring Paddling Instruction.  He asked me to come out to one of his pool sessions and take some photos that he can use to showcase his paddle instruction company.  It was lots of fun and I got some great images of the students learning and Bryan teaching.  If you are interested in learning to kayak, drop him a line, he’d love to help you out.

Taken this Summer at Upper Kananaskis Lake in Peter Laugheed Provincial Park, AB while on holidays with my loving family.  Those of you that received our Christmas Card have already seen a similar photo with the Kunz family sitting on the log.

This summer I took a “photo day” and drove down to Lake Diefenbaker, took the Riverhurst ferry across the lake and returned on the East side of the lake.  It was great to hit road with no destination and just explore.  I found some great locations, some I shot that day, others I plan to return to.  This was taken near the town of Birsay, SK.

This was taken a few years ago not far from St. Denis on highway 5.  I cropped it to show the hawk better and I kind of like the square(ish) format.

I found this one in my “ready” folder and I hadn’t shared it yet.  Actually I found a few more in there so stay tuned…

Welcome to the new Eclipse Photography website!

I wasn’t very happy with the layout and features of the old site so I decided scrap it and start fresh.  I’ve been working on this new website for a couple of months and after fixing some of the bugs this past week I think it’s finally ready to launch.  I’m quite happy with the look and feel of this new site and I hope you are too.  All of the old photos, and posts are still here and I hope to be adding some new work in the very near future.  So stay a while, browse the site and, if you want, let me know what you think of it.

This past May I received an email from the publishers of the Canadian Weather Trivia Calendar asking to use my Winter Wonderland photo for the month of December. I was thrilled for this opportunity not only because it is written by David Phillips, Senior Climatologist for Environment Canada, but because this is one of the most popular calendars in all of Canada.
