Elevator Winches

These are the winches at the top of the elevator shafts. They have since been replaced but at the time were still in use.

Relay

Now out of the basement and up to the elevator \”penthouse\”. This is a set of relays for the elevator in the building I work in. At the time, this elevator was still in operation and I\’d be setting up to take a photo and all of the sudden these relays would engage with a loud click then the elevator winches would start to move the car. Pressure

This is one of my favorite from this building. I\’ve processed this one in many different ways but I like this one the best. Taken about ten feet from the previous shot. When they retrofitted this building from the old Army and Navy to the way it is today, they didn\’t remove any of the old building machinery like furnaces and boilers. Because my office is in the basement, there are rooms full of this kind of stuff only feet from my office. The equipment is just sitting there collecting dust and waiting to be...

Wagon Tail

The tail end of an old station wagon I found not far from the city. Anybody know what kind of car it is? From what remains of the chrome name plate, the first letter is a \”C\”.
